What Catfish Species?

Hi all

I wonder if you could ID this catfish for me ?

It was taken from a private pond in the Georgia area of the USA.

look's like a BULLHEAD to me . though I won't eat that perticular fish there , the redness of the anal fin is'nt normal for that fish . bacteria infection caused that redness in the fish..

I say its a flathead. the barbels look like they are maneuverable where as on a bullhead, the top 2 barbels stick straight up and don't look like there are any muscles attached to move them.

Also another thing is the coloration. The coloration of this fish is similar to the juvinile coloring of a bullhead. If it's that big nad still has that coloration, then its one really rare bullhead or just a flathead.

More proof would be the position of the eyes on its head

I still think that it is a flathead and not a snail bullhead. The angle and thickness of the head is still smaller than the thickness of hte body

My first thought was a brown bullhead b/c of the red in the fins...
