Hi,

What cichlid could I breed in a 29 gallon? And also one where I could potentially make a little money? This is only going to be a temporary home. After about 7-10 months I will shut the tank down. So this won't be a tank for life. The tank is a planted tank so anything that could get along with plants. Thx

Yeah they are nice I had a female before. But I don;t know if I wanna dedicate the tank space to them. I'd prefer something I make a little money off of, but also something a little more fun/unique/active etc.

I don't know if you would consider them cichlids, but angels are perfect for a 29. They will eat anything, are hardy, and have several hundred fry. The trick is just if you can raise the fry.

Angels are Cichlids :)

angel fish are very easy to breed. you just need to keep the water quality for the babies your raising very good or they get amonia burned easily

if your looking to make a little side cash here and there the best thing to do is get ahold of any of your wholesalers near you and ask them what there looking for and how much per piece they will pay. thats what i do. i sold 200 dovii at 2 inch for 1.50 each. i used a 75 gallon for the fry and grew them out to 2 inches and fed them flakes. had 4 dollers wrapped up raising them. so i made 300.00 in about 2.5-3 mos time. you can make a little side cash by breeding fish but your never going to get rich off it.
