It has the tilapia spot on the gill so I’m assuming African as well. You might have better luck if this thread were in the African subforum.

I've never seen a tilapia like it though just need 2 find out

There are at least a couple hundred different species of Tilapines (including Saratherodon, Oreochromis, Coptodon, and many others) that come from as far north as Israel in the Sea of Gallilee, and near the Straits of Hormuz in Iran south to the southern tip of Africa.
