What did I get myself into..

Might wanna learn as to why he jumped to avoid it happening again. Assuming no tankmates are bullying it and it has a hide. I’d say make sure there’s no electrical leaks into the water.

Yeah I’ve checked every thing water quality is fine ammonia 0 nitrite is 0 and nitrate less than 20. I think he took the spray bar for a ride.

It’s been roughly a week since he jumped out and he’s still thriving. Only damage I’ve seen are both barbels shed and are growing back. Other then that hes been acting normal. I think I dodged the bullet but seeing what happens between now and next Sunday will show if anything serious happened internally.

Great news so far.

Maybe you can guy load it with probiotics and immune stimulants, as long as it is still eating fairly regularly. Seeing as Viktors Pima succumbed to its injury’s well over a month later. Just a thought if you haven’t already started doing this.

I have been dosing food/tank with some vitachem and stressguard currently. Any suggestions on anything to add to that?

I’m not sure about those specific products personally but if they are used in order to help build fish immunity that would be the aim. The product I have used in the past is called fish fx but I believe it is the lfs store brand, so I don’t think that matters as much as outcome. If you have probiotics available they are usually packed with multivitamins as well could not hurt to dose food with that.

This is just my speculation from reading about other jumpers, I haven’t had any personally yet, that have survived enough to revive. All the best to you and fish.
