What Do I Do When My Fish Arrive in the Mail?

man, this seems like a great idea...except for the shipping cost! unless i wanna buy 30 fish, i cant see paying for the expensive shipping. There isnt a way around this, is there?

Well, none of my LFS have the fish I wanted and so online is the only way I could buy them. I only paid $40 for shipping (included the box) and then the cost of the fish. So you just need to divide the number of fish you're getting with the total cost, including shipping, and see if you're willing to spend that much per fish.

I was, simply because that was the only way I could get the fish I wanted where I live.

fish also cost less than most LFS. LFS adds shipping into their cost as well as other costs, so you pay the shipping no matter where you buy.

I dump the bag into a net and get the fish into the tank... They need out of the shipping water asap...

I do a similiar process.
I dump the bag into a speciman container, remove as much water as possible, then dump the fish/water into the tank.

I think it's best to get them out of the shipping water as soon as possible.

I might drip acclimate the fish in a bucket if they arrrived in cold water, so they wouldn't get too much of a shock.
