what do you consider a "monster fish"?

anything over 10 inches to me, unless it is like a really mean neon or something like that, then i consider those monster in their own regard. :grinyes:
 
I had a feeder gold for about 3 months that was a dither fish for my little cichlids my Dovii just beheaded him last night. He was a monster he tried to eat rosies I have witnesses LOL he actually had one by the tail :screwy: I think he thought he was a cichlid too until he tried to lock jaws with the Dovii..... then reality "sunk" in:(
 
MONSTER IS NOT ABOUT SIZE.... IT'S ABOUT ATTITUDE! I used to have a 2" jag that was the biggest monster I've even known. He :owned: a johanna that I had that was about 6" long. Just uncontollable rage from that guy.

its all about the attitude!!! have you ever seen blind cave tetras? i had a couple that where 3cm and they were the meanest monsters ive ever seen. once i was cleaning their tank and 1 jumped to the next tank with a BGK in it, a caught him about a minute later and in that time he had ripped the BGK to shreds!!!:swear:

wow thats an impressive story..
I also think it has a lot to do with attitude. I have a Rainbow snakehead thats only 3 inches at most and he's a monster

reminds me of me GT....he is the master of the tank. he just dominates everything....fish listed in Sig.
 
Well when I first heard of this site I thought it was all about size, but it really does have something to do with attitude and aggresion, there are several fish out there that deserve to be official "mini-monsters! " I also think anything over 8" is pretty monster to the unwashed masses.
 
a monster fish s an unusual and rare fish that can exhibit a unique attitude, body style, coloration, or all of the above. For example, a common pleco isnt a monster, butif it is 2 ft. long it is! Monster fishes can be big or small.
 
a preditar or very unusal fish. can be as small as 1" for all i care, as long as they deliver
 
your biggest fish is a monster IMO
