Internal parasite...i think.

Starved. One of my kelberis was shaped like a boomerang when i bought him. Takes awhile to get them fatten up from that point but it will come around.

Big time starved but I have seen worse! But he has to be crazy trying to sell that to someone because transport may kill that Cichla.

Once again not starved. I feed all the fish in that tank at 9 pm EACH AND EVERY SINGLE NIGHT! He usually eats the shrimp. He will eat at least 3-2" shrimp every night and Silversides too. I was thinking internal parasites when I bought him too. He was treated with Prazipro twice before. If it doesn't eat as much as he should then that's not my fault because the food is presented to him every night and he gets first pick because he is so fast-usually the first one there. Although he did freak out a few days ago when I cleaned the tank with a new scrubber and has been scared of me ever since then. Before he would actually come to the glass and sit at the top of the water waiting to eat. If it really happens to be undernourished then maybe the buyer can make it come around. They are only in a 75 gallon tank. I have a 180 waiting to be filled but Im going to use the 75 for a diy wet/dry. You can see my posts for the stand and tank and another for the wet/dry in 2 weeks or less. And back to the topic-would you like me to post pics of the other fish in the tank? The Arrowana has a good shape to him. My 2 - 18" Eels are nice and thick. The Clown Loaches are very good too.

It will be fine during transport. I guarantee that much. The fish does not get starved by me. If he doesn't eat as much as he should that's the fish's fault.

Man if this was the case then you wouldn't have even responded. It's not my fish and I aint bying it so why do I care or anyone else here care. THE CICHLA DOESN"T LOOK good and a blind man can see that. That's all were saying. If indeed your feeding everyday then it has a serious parisite problem that need's to be addressed. I have never seen a Cichla with a sunken in stomach like the one your keeping. I am an advocate of people not owning a any CICHLA that they can't care for and the one in question looks like it has been neglected period. And that is a black eye on the hobby and a black eye for all Cichla keepers. And for the record anything that look's this way is the main reason why I say if you can't maintain them then don't even purchase one. It just looks sad to see it in that condition what ever your doing. If your doing right by the Cichla then why explain yourself?

The only neglect from me is having it in a 75 gallon tank. As for maintaining them they all will be perfectly fine when I get my 180 set up this weekend or next week. The only way it could have caught any parasites is from live Nightcrawlers that it ate. Although he probably did have a couple feeder minnows left over from fishing one time this year since he got treated last time.
