Only three shrimp a day. My 7" mono's fill up on pellets and then eat twice as many shrimp for desert. You should start feeding it 3 times a day.

I feel sorry for that Ocell, it should definately be taken off the market and fattened up or cured If it is an internal parasite!

looks like my chinese perch did when it had an internal parasite.

Once again not starved. I feed all the fish in that tank at 9 pm EACH AND EVERY SINGLE NIGHT! He usually eats the shrimp. He will eat at least 3-2" shrimp every night and Silversides too. I was thinking internal parasites when I bought him too. He was treated with Prazipro twice before. If it doesn't eat as much as he should then that's not my fault because the food is presented to him every night and he gets first pick because he is so fast-usually the first one there. Although he did freak out a few days ago when I cleaned the tank with a new scrubber and has been scared of me ever since then. Before he would actually come to the glass and sit at the top of the water waiting to eat. If it really happens to be undernourished then maybe the buyer can make it come around. They are only in a 75 gallon tank. I have a 180 waiting to be filled but Im going to use the 75 for a diy wet/dry. You can see my posts for the stand and tank and another for the wet/dry in 2 weeks or less. And back to the topic-would you like me to post pics of the other fish in the tank? The Arrowana has a good shape to him. My 2 - 18" Eels are nice and thick. The Clown Loaches are very good too.

Then your selling a sick fish!

The fish isn't sick. If you guys think you are so good then how about one of you buy it and show everyone here how its done?

Now that is funny...you should try to double dare someone, maybe that might work :screwy:;):grinno::popcorn: sorry i just find it funny and entertaining!:chillpill:

If he doesn't eat as much as he should that's the fish's fault.

come on now...lets just blame it all on the fish...maybe if you took some time to research whats up with your cichla then maybe this wouldn't be happening. Sorry but alot of people on here are really just trying to help you out and your fish and maybe the person looking to purchase your cichla. Alot of us on here have a PASSION for cichla, and don't like to see them like that.

I could only think of three things that would make a fish look like that.

1) Internal Parasites
2) Starvation
3) Deformation

Number 1 you can do some research and find a cure or asked some questions, thats what this forum is for! Number 2 can easily be fixed, feed your fish more often. Number 3 keep him and stop trying to get over on someone. Either you do/do not know whats wrong with him and if you don't then there are plenty ways in finding out! Good Luck...btw your Aro looks good

Ok Eric The 75g tank and how big is the Cichla? I wouldn't dare put that fish with my collection I worked to hard and put in to much care to do something like that.

The neglect you admitted to is the problem I fell and all of the other contributing factors. Look I will be the first to admit this is no easy task keeping Cichla anyone can do it but can they do it right? Everyone here would be more then happy to help you if you would just let them. ;)

Starved or deformed.
