How dyou find it? I like the idea of "functional movements" but I can't get into the whole box mentality...

I love it, every box runs a bit differently so you have to find one that's a fit for you. Mine puts a lot of emphasis on strength training so every day starts out with a series of one of the core lifts-snatch, clean & jerk, deadlift, bench, and squat(front, back, or overhead) or a combination of them. Then it the WOD(workout of the day) which helps with speed, endurance, agility, and overall fitness. No two days are ever the same. Mine also offers yoga once a week to improve flexability which I've been finding helpful too. It's not for everyone though, we were talking this morning about how well over half the people who try it out don't continue on a long term basis, but those who do develop a comradarie and really help and push each other to try their best everyday.
 
Oh I'm fat. I gained 40lbs when i quit smoking, that's why i hit the gym. My numbers are from impressive. I'm6'2" 208lbs. I'd like to stay about there but get rid of the fat.
