Why do so many people use buckets?

We live in the stone ages :D

At one point I look/tried at a python but I had weird fittings for my sinks so I could not get them to work. I did have a 30gallon 'trash can' on wheels that I filled with water back in the day when the house was filled with tanks.

Now it's not a big deal with only 1 tank in the house

Ya know I've never really paid attention to what I say to the fish. I think its probably just me asking how they like their home and telling them they are pretty.

I'll have to have someone record it next time I do it and see what I say to them.

i usually start stiring up the gravel in the next tank so when I suck out that water, it gets most of the crap.

the nubtards who built the house I live in didn't use "standard" hardware in the bathroom.. and running tubeing threw literally the whole house to get to the sink in the laundryroom is not an option for me.. down the hallway.. down the stairs, threw another hallway, threw the liveingroom, kitchen, past the bathroom.. into the laundry room.. and with the windows the house has... getting the screen out to run the hose threw it and down to the out-door faucets. Oui... to much of a hassle and wisconisn winters >.< .. :grinno: ... I just use my 5 gallon buckets... It's a short walk from the bathroom to my room. Lugging buckets builds mucles? yeah....

If i really wanted to I could run to the menards or lowes and find a connector to work. but water changes are "my time". And I only have to change about 80 gallons a week. and I split my WC's up into 2 days. I haven't been able to use my python in years, since I broke down the 55 in the basement and moved my tanks into my room. But I'm keeping it for when we move hopfully sooner then later.:naughty:

cichlaholics spends his tank filling time by hearing me yell at him for messing up my floor :D:D and then cleaning the floor he messed up :D:D

I cant even imagine using buckets at this point...lol

i dont have a monster tank but hahaha i quess im old to cuz i sit in front of my tank while it drains and watch the fish.
