What Does African Lungfish Eats in the wild?

I take that back at first it looked to be young bird bones,but now Id say snails and frogs.

2 questions and 1 hypothesis:

-Are all albino lungfish wild-caught, or are some "bred"?

-How long does it take for a lungfish to digest a meal, particularly one high in protein? As devil's advocate, I would think its metabolism would be rather high (particularly after eating!), AND that exporters would have cleaned out the fish before shipping to North America, AND that Toyin would have held it a few days to make sure it was in excellent health. All of which would imply it was fed frogs AFTER it entered the country. You'd have to check with Toyin for a definitive answer ...

I was wondering that... frogs make popular feeders too in some parts of the world.

i dont think any farm is breeding albino african lungfish.

i dont how the exporter does ... but when they landed.. i asked toying to ship out the same day...

if i remember correctly i got it on jan 21, 2006 and it deficated around the 24/25 of january.

It takes mine about 4-5 days to poop, so your probably right.
