dont get me wrong its nice, but not for me

Haha...it's ok :). I hate that stereotype of so many race bred cars but the marketing helps to sell them...

Yeah I did too...had to sell it cos I have to graduate and leave soon...

Possibly the best car I have ever driven, bar Evos.

Neal, I'm going to respectfully disagree with you. Gearing is everything. Several companies, including CALMINI, make a 5:1 transfer-case ratio for the Samurai, which results in a crawl ratio of over 80:1. You can get over anything with that gearing. Also, the power-to-weight ratio on Samurais is not bad, around 66 bhp for 2000 lbs or roughly 30 lbs/hp.

Most non-V-8 Jeeps before the port-injected 4.0l I6 came along in the late 1980s were saddled with worse power to weight ratios. LOL. I remember when the 258 cubic inch I6 in the CJs only made around 112 hp and the 360 cubic inch V-8 in the Grand Wagoneers only made 144 hp.

And i will respectfully disagree with you J. Suzukis dont have enough torque to be as effective as lets say the 4.0L HO. Even with the Gears you will find that they have a hard time turning 38s when trapped in a rock garden. Dont get me wrong, they are better then most Ford pickups but when compared to a Jeep or toyota they are obsolete, unless heavily built, but comparing heavily built to close to stock is rediculous.

Pound for pound Jeeps are by far superior. Throw on a lift, upgrade the gears, stick on large tires, and boom! your done. You dont even NEED to upgrade the running gear, even with 38s!! And they have enough power, the 4.0L will burn out 38 inch tires on the street!

The wheel base on Sams will limit their rock ability aswell. they simply cannot articulate like a jeep of the same modification. They are good trail vehicles, but not rock material. They may be light, but that is not always the best thing. More weight = more traction depending on the terrain..

although I will not deny the capabilites of the old school CJs or waggons. they are crap unless heavily built.

icth you rock my socks off

Go ahead and laugh, because you are incapable of a post such as this, you are also incapable of TOUCHING me on any subject. I bet I know more about gynecology then you do, and your female!

Go ahead and cheer in the sidelines, because you are obviously not good enough to compete.

Also, if you are unhappy with my response, try not attacking me first, I would have no beef with you if you didnt open up your mouth.

so hostal

By end of summer. I should have 1 ton running gear under my cj7. Im gonna be upgrading to a Muncie rock crusher for the supper low first gear. 38s are just to big and make a jeep look funny . Ima throw some 35 or 36s on it and do axel flip. I wheel at paragon . I duno if you familiar with it or not peacock. But that's where they hold the east coast rock crawling championships every year and hold majority of the Comps threw out the year. There website is www.paragonap.com I have sitting out back if any of you no anybody interested. A Dana 44 out of 76 cj5 with 4.55 gears and locker in it for sale. If anyone is interested.

Now about being able to run 38s on stock difs in a jeep. Yeah ya could on street but they would snap the axels in a hartbeat. Yjs they snap over 32s 33 and bigger looking for problems on stock difs. Rubicons can handle up to a 35 without breaking 36s if you easy on it. 4.0 They good little torque monsters and reliable as hell. But finding parts for Chevy v8 still way way easier.

And yes when my axel flip is done my jeep will be lleagal i will drive it till i get caught then trailer the pig
