I know certain shrimp eat hair algea, but you might have a problem with them getting eaten.arherp;2717382; said:Hair algae is half the problem.

I agree. I got a fei feng (also called a flag tail or flag tailed prochilodus) in sept. It's still fairly small, but is the best algae eater I've had. It keeps the glass spotless (except for a few spots it can't reach behind filter tubes, driftwood, etc.) and keeps most of the driftwood algae free too. I can't say how they do with plants though (with the exception of hornwart-most fish don't touch it, probably due to it's rather prickly texture), but I have yet to see my fei feng touch another fish's slimecoat. They also take algae pellets and flakes as well as normal tropical flakes if they run out of algaezennzzo;2717466; said:Fei Feng...
