What Fish Do you OWN that has the MOST Personality?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
my clown loaches hands down, sure the discus, arowana, bichir beg for food, but the clown loaches will swim in circles in the corner where i feed them

has to be my fully grown semaprocalodus (aka flagtail characin) havent to this day ever kept a fish that was soo tame and owner responsive. when i put my hand to do water changes. it knows im not going to attack it and would always follow my hand. (other fish would sulk or go into the corner). but, this fish sucks off the detritus/residue when i scrub off the algae that was on the glass. . people say Oscars have the most personality. but, semaprocalodus is in my opinion in another league.

I had one years ago (when they were called Procalous) and he would eat from my hand. Damn I miss that guy!

unfortunately i had to give him?her to a mate cos he overnight had a taste for mucus and sucked my Arowanas slime_coat off whilst i was a way for work for the weekend and didnt risk keeping him with my stingrays cos they cost me a fortune. but will take him back when i get ANOTHER tank.
can you post vids on here by the way? if u can i will try upload a video. if not you can see my Sema' on you tube. type in SEMAPROCOLODUS and find a video under 'Arowanamaster' .

It would definatly have to be my male gold/zebra angel fish.

I know it's not a monster...

Of all my fish i have owned through the years until present... i would have to say i have laughed more... and noticed more... and fed more... and catered to more ... my Jag that i adopted a few years ago... yes the huge Jag with HITH in remission is the most personable fish i own...not because he is a jag... and not because he has a beautiful pattern ...not because he was a rescue...not because he is 16 inches of massive fish... none of the above reasons... not at all... just simply because he is soooo funny... and extremely smart... i come down to feed all my fish... i have several different types of food on one small table.. all different packages and canister shapes and colors with each different type of food within the containers.. he knows when i reach and pick up "his" food ... he jumps and splashes... {i am still on the other side of the room} haha... he can see me... with "his" food in my hand...He bangs the top and crashes and splashes so i hurry to him...he is just amazing.. any one else have a unique special fish....??:D:D:D
it always amazes me how intelligent cichlids are. all my mates that are not into fish say im being silly and all the fish do is swim around and around. i just know that all my fish loves me (except for my Distocodus). just watching them behave you just know that they are thinking off 'stuff '

Im thinking my Endli now. All my bichirs hand feed but he comes up to the surface and follows me as I move around the tank.

since ive parted with my Semaprocolodus. this clown loach is currently the fish i own with the most personality. loves the way he just roosts in weird places and just moves its eyes following me around the room. . its almost spooky
