What fish should I get for Christmas??

Alex, get the fish for the tank, not the other way around. It's simply not responsible to get the fish before the tank, especially with the amount of money it's gonna cost you to get a tank/pond big enough for all those fish.

Guys, I know you're trying to help out, but if he says he's going to get a 300 gallon tank, and then a pond, just agree. The fish are small for now, and when they get big he'll upgrade. I know plenty of people that do this. I voted for loaches, but I think you should ask them for a giftcard to your LFS, so you can decide later, and/or get equipment.

Whatever you do, just don't get any polys. I'd like as many polys as possible to stay alive.

But it will be enough for his fish while they are still small. Then he's getting pond. He's just upgrading as they grow. I've done the same thing before. I just didn't do it with fish that get quite that big. And I made sure the tanks were lightly stocked. If he says he can handle it, I'm sure he can. If he can't, it will be a lesson learned.

I know your not going to listen to us any know damn was... I have been patient with you for the last 10 months before and after your banned. What are you trying to do?

Raise fish and give them away? Raise fish and sell them? What? If you want to raise fish and give them away, Put me on that list. Fish "KEEPING" is to enjoy the growth and excitement of watching them grow and learning about them. I wish to high hell that i didn't sell my fishes, BUT, I'm leaving for overseas and i have NO reason to keep them and watch them grow myself ( thus the reason I sold them). You on the other hand have time to watch them grow.

But, all in all get what for your 125gal tank and your 55gal tank. I know you know better ( I really hope).
