What happened to Frank Castle?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
There are a lot of MFK articles on amazing builds but no updates etc- its like they disappeared without a trace- it would be nice to have a follow up thread or a post to notify members what happened Whenever possible.

Kind of like reading a story but not finished in some sense.

Back in 09 I believe. I remember lots of members were getting banned especially arguments with mods over in the lounge forum. A certain mod was really hated by many. And the lounge was never the same again. Some didnt bother coming back after the ban cuz they felt the mods were abusing their power. Some just strictly use this site to buy and sell now and no longer participate in anything else.

A slightly different topic, though related in an absent former members perspective.

We have a dove icon that signifies the passing of a member. But how do we know if a member's passed away? If I got trashed on my bike for instance no one on the site would know. I'd just become inactive on the forum and I'd soon be forgotten forever.

I'm not sure I like the idea of conversing daily with other members, and even though unlikely ever to meet in person, you end up looking on those people as friends. And then they disappear all of a sudden and you don't know if they've just got bored and moved on, or passed away.

It would be nice to know, somehow, and then maybe a tribute post created to remember them. A bit morbid I know, but just thinking out loud.

It was a problem as I do remember those days. Not wrong about it. Seems it’s similar to aquabid.

Yeah. I also miss islandguy11. Was hoping to make a trip to Thailand and visit him some day. Barrett was good people.

a couple others that I miss even though not always popular with other are Dloks never afraid to speak his mind, and never candy coating anything for anyone. Lol.

and deadliestviper, lots of people didn’t like how he operated but I always got along with that person.

there are definitely some folks that I never had a chance to talk with but wished that I did were dieselhybrid, David w, redtailfool, oddball, necrocanis, and a few others.

I'd completely forgot about deadliestviper. He was an extremely active member, but looking back at some history he hasn't been on since September 2019! It's weird, the system won't allow me tag him either. I wonder if you haven't been in in a certain amount of time the system "forgets" who you are and you can't be tagged anymore?

This is what I was looking for when I posted asking about where to find the medals. I don’t understand how people find out that one has passed. I also find it interesting how people all over the world come together and convene about 1 topic and start to make good friend…

Yeah, that's the thing with anonymity. When you don't know someone's true identity, there are no signs of any serious problems on their profile, and no one on the forum knows them or their family/friends personally, it's virtually impossible to know if they are dead.

I remember this time. It also happened on other forums where inevitably, some power tripping mods or some holier than thou members run everyone off. It sucks
