What if your teacher......

If you get an F....you didn't even try to learn the materials. You may get the job at McDonalds, but you wil be fired if you don't at least try.

The only thing you are going to need to remember is "Would you like fries with that"?

I love that comment, my Sport teacher said it to a real dropkick. A joke, of course...

I had a kid working for me last summer and he told me that some counselor at school told him he was dumb and would probably only be able to get a low paying job in some factory. He was actually believing this counselor. I told him he was an ***hole and he freaked out at me. I asked him why he was upset with me. He said he didn't like what I called him and I replied "then why would you listen to the counselor?, you can do anything in this world you want if you really want to and apply yourself to it. Once he got my point his outlook on life changed.

forget high school diploma, you need a college degree to get your foot in the door.

So true.. To get any sort of professional job you have to be coming out with a bachelors degree or better. Even some jobs you would consider "normal" jobs that are everywhere need alot of special licensing/classes.

BTW Pleco that last part is so true.

I too am a teacher. I doubt that the teacher was referring to the smarts of the kid, but trying make the correlation between effort and success in life. I'd love to see the student crumple the paper and throw it at me. I would smile and say "poor choice once again" as they spend a couple of days in in-house suspension or saturday school. But hey, they are awesome!

thats why i like the military. after my MOS school ill be comming out with a bachelors degree. but most likely ill be in the service for 20+ yrs anyways. but still, its gets me a degree and i learn to blow stuff up and how physics work. (well somewhere along those lines) and i get a paycheck twice a month.

id have made an airplane outta the application and thrown it at the teacher, like i did with all my tests i Aced in math because the teacher always said i couldnt do it and i was always wrong.... but my tests where 100's all the way!

broken wind shield..

thats would be some nerve of a teacher to do that to a student.
