Good for the teacher.Maybe 25 years ago my answer would have been different but now with kids of my own a teacher with the balls and caring enough to give a kid a wake up call like that is cool.

Man, even on a calc test a good teacher would give you at least a C if you gave it an honest try, even without getting questions right. I kind of wonder why you would take calc and put in so little effort that you fail tests. I remember several calc tests where I didn't get a single correct answer and still averaged a B in the class if I remember right.

Seems to me that the teacher is discriminating by handing out a McD's app with a failed paper. Implying McDonalds employees are school dropouts is reinforcing a stereotype.
McD's was one of two (other was WalMart) stocks on DOW that had a positive return for the year. Their jobs are a lot safer than bankers right now.

i think thats a good way of showing kids what they could be doing if they dont put more effort into school. i am graduating soon from uni and its not been easy. no way am i going to work in mcdonalds after struggling through all these years. good idea, that....but then the kid needs to be able to see past the present for that trick to work. if a person doesnt care, then what else can you do? nothing lol.
Love this. I will use it, but I think the particular kids I teach will just as soon hold up the store as work at it. I talk about the lack of options that a lot of my kids are leaving themselves for serious employ. I teach in a houston disciplinary school and we do what we can to motivate those kids.
