Victim of a down size. Went through some financial hardships and had to shutdown the saltwater tanks, just couldn't continue to buy salt every month.
It went to a guy I knew at the time but he told me a few months afterward that it had died. I don't think he knew what he was doing.
I was so mad and sad at the same time.
I hate knowing that I contributed to that beautiful animals death.

I would probably feel that way too....and the salt is one of the reasons I got out of saltwater.Between the regular discarding and replenishing of the salt mix it is such a big waste and I grew tired of it.
Maybe the water could be run through "nitrate reactors" for a while and when all the organics are removed through that and maybe chemical filtration it can be distilled and the salt reused
