What is the best solo cichlid for an 20 gallon tank

I got a 20 gallon tank and cycled it, and I want a cichlid. I was thinking a convict, but when I saw my friends male kenyi I thought maybe a solo male kenyi or male auratus.

Look up Shellies from lake tang. Get some sea shells and raise a pair...

Yes if you want cories, rams are better choices.

I would suggest an Oscar, but it would probably eat the cories. So then, I suggest looking at some apistogrammas, though small enough that a pair would be good in a 20
