What is the grossest thing you've done in the aquarium hobby!

idk if this counts but i got my daughter to try some fish food. oh the look on her face after she put it in her mouth. ps my wife did not approve.

I think bloodworms is the worst tasting food fish.You can call me crazy but anything I have fed my fish I have tried it two.Somehow I have never got sick from it.

once i tried potassium permanganate to treate my oscar pair for argulus parasite and dont know abt the aftermath and lost two cute babies... i killed them

Manually Priming my Eheim 2217's. Always get a mouthful of aquarium water which usually ends up spat on the wall bc I don't make it to the bucket lol. I have got to invest in their manual pump to prime them lol

^this, though with mine it's an air tube to restart the over flow on my 125 after a water change (overflow gets dirty too so I clean it and then have to re-prime it) and while it's the grossest thing I've done, it happens almost every time... I agree I also need to invest in a primer.

My lungs are to small its hard enough get the tube to start lol.

if its short you can just tip it upside down with water inside, no sucking required
