It's the same creature.. one pic from the side while it's in the fishes mouth and the other taken from above after it's been removed...

Yeah, the pics are of the same creature. So i think cleaning the tank out would be a good idea, my new weekend project! I will have to track down that medication too. Everyone looks good, but I havent seen their mouths yet hehe. Poor sabertooth, thanks for the condolenses! I wonder if I should take it to fish and game, probably not a bad idea.

I will tell the pet store I got if from too, it would be good that they are at least aware of it. They said they had the fish for a long while beforehand, so hopefully it didn't infect too many others.

Kinda weird that it killed the fish though. Based on what I read, it said that parasite just replaces the fish's tongue, but does not further harm and the fish can use the parasite as a functioning tongue.
I'm in Bonney Lake, it was not a local store I got it from though, had to drive a ways. I would think it was the horrible fungus that killed the fish, and it just so happened that I was pulling the fish after the parasite was possibly trying to find a new host. I'm gonna run by my local store and pick up prazi pro and then go see if the critter is still alive in the Styrofoam bin I put it in last night. Is leasing pro safe for scaleless fish??
