So My RTG injured himself when I accidentally dropped a meal worm on the glass the little accident injured the top of his head and cause bruised white markings. These markings eventually turned into these dark spots on his head now. Its been over a week since the accident and i think the dark markings are spreading. I'm a little worried and starting to think that these markings might be something else.

My RTG Still Swims and Eats actively like there is nothing wrong with him. Water is changed weekly (10%), I have a 75gal with 2 hang filters 1 emperor, and an aquaclear110. After every water change i would add 1 soup spoon of sea salt. THe Markings are only on my RTG's head. Nowhere else.

Please Help! What you all think? Are these Marks really bruises that are healing? or are these something else that needs to be treated?

that's too little a water change, try 40% weekly. Also too much salt. 1 big spoons is enough for 100 gal.
Do a 50% water change and do not add any more salt. You only need to add salt if your fish is injured.
If you put 1 spoon in for 100gal then did a WC of 10% you only need to add 10% of salt as well.
I think that's where you problem is.

Would these markings be related to my water changes then? This bizzare. Lfs said not to change so much as it would change the ph too much and the aro won't be as well adjusted and is sensitive to change.

looks like healing wounds and do more of 30%-40% waterchange weekly

Aros like clean water. 30 to 40% is about right especially for a 75gal tank. What else do you have in the tank?
I'm not sure what too much salt does to a fresh water fish in the short term either. I would presume it would burn it.

My rtg is alone. No other fish in tank with my rtg. Im over killing the filter aspect As I am planning to get another aqua110 to replace the emperor filter. So there will be 2 hang aquaclear 110's. And I'll hange water this week to 30%. Hope this goes away.

Tell me if this procedure is correct or not. I put the new water from tap into clean buckets (never used soap in them at all) and then I add one capfull of chlorine remover and put the air pump in the bucket. I let that sit for atleast 15min before adding the new water into the tank. Is hat correct?

That sounds good. A lot of people go from the tap. I do something similar to you only on a bigger scale.

Do 30% wc per week and add a bit of aquarium salt. Recommended dosage is about 1 tsp per 5 gallon but I would do half of that like 1tps per 10 gallon. Also check your PH straight out of the tap. Myself I don't even bother with PH as it will just keep changing everytime u do wc. As long as your PH is not too off your fish will adapt to it. My PH from the tap is 7.6-7.8 and my fish are fine. Fish will just stress out more and can die if u fluctuate the PH too much.

tps? Table spoon or tea spoon?
