why would you let the water sit that dechlorinator is supposed to work immediately and one capful seems a bit hefty if the buckets are 5 gallons

ALSO yah maybe 1 capful is too much.... I'll switch to Half a CAPful cause the bottle does say that 1 capful is like 100g's worth of works!

Is there a backfire? if i used too much of that stuff???

Depends on what kind of dechlorinator he's using. Some brands of it uses 1 cap or 1 full push of the nozzle for every 10 gallons. If it's prime and the 500ml bottle then it's 1 capful per 50 gallons. IMO adding more is better then adding to little but I do agree on why let water sit if your using dechlorinators.

theirs no need to add salt for a typical waterchange if their are wounds yes but salt every waterchange or every couple of waterchanges is gonna just stress out your aro

The 325ml bottle should be one of the smallest bottles they sell and it shouldn't be 1 capful per 100 gallons. I use 2 liter Prime bottles and a capful is good for 100 gallons. Half a cap should be fine. U can even go 1/4 cap.

Yes... Sorry my apologies... says on 325ml bottle "1capful = 5ml treats 50Gallons."

Ya 325ml and 500ml Prime bottles have the same 5ml caps. So I wouldn't waste a cap on 5 gallons. Prime isn't cheap especially when u use alot. I go through 2 liters of it in less then 2 months easily.

Yah I bought this little bottle for 12$ and its a bonus bottle too (+30%more than usual). I had no idea all these little costs here and there would add up to such a big amount for this new hobby of mine. I just hope those marks aren't anythign serious and not leave any permanent marks on my RTG.
