CrazyFish88 Did you pick up that LIght Yet for the tank? You owe us pics of your RTG it must have gotten bigger now since you've had it for almost a month? or more?

Nah bro not yet. My friend and I both work full time and both have different days off so it's hard to meet to grab the light from him. I'll try to schedule a meet and pick it up soon.

Yah bro I can't wait to see your RTG pics. I think mine really did grow atleast an inch since I picked him up a lil more than 4 weeks ago. He's been eating silver slides/meal worms and pooping like crazy.

Mine not much difference in size. Grew about 1" in 1 month as well. Color hasn't really changed much. At the moment feeding superworms, market shrimp, Aro pellets and sometimes krill. Now though I've notice he's becoming more picky towards the pellets and krill after feeding it superworms. I would have to lay off the superworms for a while for him to accept pellets and krill again.

Well atleast your is eating Krill... Mine won't even swallow it at all and I've been trying since day 1. I dont get it.... (I have like over $20 worth of krills in the freezer!) I thought Krills would have been my RTG's fav. but I guess not. and yah live superworms are like crack for these guys. One night I came home kinda drunk and I'm pretty sure I fed my RTG over 10 worms in one shot. he ate them all! Probably didn't even chew much just swallowed.

If it was a good night for me then it might as well be a good night for him too:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:

why would you let the water sit that dechlorinator is supposed to work immediately and one capful seems a bit hefty if the buckets are 5 gallons
One good thing about doing the quick water age (waiting after adding dechlor) is that the water has a chance to off-gas. You notice the little bubbles that form on everything when you pump water straight from the tap into your tank? I have heard this to be simalr to opening a can of Coke(carbonated anything for that matter). I have also heard that this bubbling action might be happening inside of your fish. (simalar to the bends, for you scuba divers). I read all this in a recent article in TFH~
