what is this on the head of the paroon

Strollo's right. Until and unless we know all the important water parameters AND can trust them with great surety, we will always tend to think that your tank water is not good enough. You have three bulky 2' fishes in 150 gal.

I know you know this and it's annoying to keep repeating it... but we are at a dead end, it appears, my friend... We can only go by what you describe is happening to your fish, but the reasons for problems with fish vary greatly and this is a highly inefficient way to go. I earnestly suggest to consider again finding them the right home, as you intended at the beginning, instead of building a bigger tank for them in your garage.

lately , i have been smelling some bad smell from the water of the tank !! i think i have some ammonia and those ppl in pet shops was lying !!

no do you recommend to do a 50% water change weakly and add anti-chlorine or not ??!!!!

You cannot smell ammonia at the levels we are talking about. Usually the tank water has a little smell but it should not be strong. Strong smell usually (but not always) means there is problem that may or may not have to do with the cycling. Does it smell like rotten eggs (hydrogen sulfide)?

Yes, do the biggest water changes you can afford, as stated 50%-75% twice weekly. It is even needless to say that one must use the water conditioner with large water changes (on any municipal water). With 5% daily changes, maybe not, but in your situation, yes. One can let it stand a while or boil it to remove chlorine. However, chloramine may not leave the water that easy. This describes many ways to remove it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chloramine or google it to learn more.

i'm really trying to build a huge tank for them but alot of problems are in my way !! one of them is the space i live in small apartment with already 3 tanks 150 and 75 and 35 ... so there is no space !! and huge tank is very expensive here !! the 300g tank is cost about 3000$ and i'm a student in university can't afford that huge number ... i'm trying to sell them now but no good price no one want a perdator and huge fish like paroon !!

now i don't know what is the smell but its realy bad one doesn't know if it look like eggs or something !! but i'm sure that the smeell if from ammonia cuz ammonia have some media with bad smell that what i real on web

how ever i will stay like i'm for today untill i can build a bigger tank or sell this poor fish :)

I am afraid you will continue having problems. Hope to be wrong. Theoretically, I'd be looking for a properly sized home for them and if I found one and the potential new owner would not pay, I'd give it away for free. How are you going to do WC's on a large tank if you struggle to do that for a small tank??

Please, try to reiterate. I don't understand what this says.

Rotten egg smell? Is that what he means? Hydrogen Sulphide?

and why i five a fish i bought for 100$ for free ??!!!!!! i will not sell it for less than 50$ at lease the half of the price bro !!

...man i'm not struggle to do WC in any tank i love water change its fun ...

... but jordan have water scarcity we have water only for 2 days in the week !! ...

Well, I got a different impression before. From the above quote and the lack of the tap water conditioner, I understood you were doing only 30% WC a week. So, now you must do a 75%+ WC twice a week!

... but the problem there is alot of chlorine in water it wont help !!

First, you must know if it is chlorine or chloramine and know their concentration (usually in ppm = mg/L)! Call or write to your water supplier. There is a difference in how one gets rid of them. Chlorine is easier than chloramine.

It can be done cheaply, according to some of the methods in the Wikipedia article I linked for you.

If you can afford the water conditioner, use the right amount of it according to:
-- the label and
-- to the type of chemical (chlorine or chloramine; for chloramine it is usually required to use ~5 times more than for chlorine at the same concentration) and
-- to the concentration.

$50 for a fish that will need to be rehabbed as its got some serious health concerns?!? I think worrying about losing money takes a back seat to ensuring the fish have an appropriately sized tank.
