What is your cleaning/water change routine and how long does it take you?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I will do a small manual water change once every couple months to get the debris off the sand....most of it gets picked up from the powerheads, catfish and rays but theres always some there .....i like to get it before it piles up

But if your tank is bare i wouldnt see why u would have to do this
mines a pfs substrate but I don't syphon anyhow so that won't matter for me.

Well, I don't actively have to participate when the big tanks are refilling, so that number is kind of inflated when looking at actual "work hours."
I count that as work hours haha because you can't forget youre filling a tank...like I do at least once every couple months lol. Still that's a crazy amount of time haha
I couldnt do 8 hours a week as much as a love fish.....im always trying to find ways to make maintenance easier lol

this. I love my fish, not enough to put in a work days worth of time though haha.

B.S. lol I have money to buy some big tanks, not wasting it on a tank maid when I can automate the entire process with a drip system hahaha.
