Is that a yes lol?

Well I did a little test...

I tested the water on my 120gallon and 75gallon with 2 things.

First I used the 5 drops of nitrite that u put into the lil vial..

120gallon nitrite : 0
75gallon nitrite : .25 ( last night it was about 5 )

than I used a Api nitrite and nitrate aquarium test strip on my 120gallon and 75gallon

120gallon : nitrite 0, nitrate ( I will not tell you because I feel like an ass for not doing a gravel vac in about 5 months)

75gallon : 0 nitrite, 80 nitrate

Which one should I trust?

Cycling a 75 with 24 GF? Wow. I used 6 in my 300.

:). I'm not buying another aquarium tester. I've bought 3 already. I'm gona go with the test strips...

I bought a python today and wow that was a bigger hassle than I could immagine. It dident fit any of the sinks inside my house so I ended up filling my 84* tank with cold water...

I have a hammer drill that will cut a hole through a block wall in less than three minutes. Are you ready to install a drip system?

I think I have you beat in terms of dead fish but with that python, I think you will put me to shame. Don't use it to fill your tanks. Treat the water first and then carry it to the tank like you have (not) been doing.

And your filters are cycled. They are limited by their surface area. When you have 20 bluegills and 24 goldfish, there is no question that your filter will not be able to keep up.

By the way, there is error in every test kit. Your strips and liquid tests are close enough and the error you are seeing is typical. They get you in the ballpark and that is what is important.

My bare bottom tanks typically mirror my tap water. I only have two ugf filters and they always have a nitrate buildup. I keep them clean but the gunk that builds up under the tray produces the nitrates. Every so often it is wise to do a tank tear down to clean under it. Some day I actually will.
By not cleaning your gravel, the gunk under the tray builds up super fast.
