what kind of cichlids should i put in with my...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
dude you just need to take a step back and not try to buy every fish available without the proper accomodations, this is typical mfk noob behavior that usually bites you in the ass once fish start getting beat on or out growing their tanks, and most of us have gone through it ourselves.

pretty much most of the fish youve named wont even fit in a 55 comfortably once full grown, and you really need to rethink the 125 as well. the 125 would work good for the 2 oscars and the sev but forget about a silver and a ray working in there for more than a year.

enjoy providing great homes for your fish, not because its cool to own these fish.

I would not get a breeding pair of firemouths. A breeding pair of rainbow cichlids would be fine. I like blue eyed sajica they would fit well and have wonderful personality, also if they breed they will rule a huge chunk of your tank. Rainbowfish are great if you want a school, I like the New Guinea reds.

I would get a couple rainbow cichlids and a male sajica. Then some bottom feeders. 3 red tail botia would be a decent choice.

thats why im asking people on mfk...... that is my step back. and dont talk to me that way im on this for fun.... we are all into fish...so we are all dorks... dont try and act hard please. be nice or get off the site.

my goals tthat i have learnd on this thread

125 w/ two oscars and my silver

and 55 gallon with two severum

Another Severum is a bad idea-the one you have will kill it-since it has been the only one in that 55 gallon. Consp. aggression. Why not keep the Severum and add a Firemouth and maybe a female Convict.

I would avoid adding the clown loaches. Dont get me wrong, they are and beautiful fish, but they really grow too large for a 55 gallon (with the JD and the severum-it would be pretty crowded).
