I’ve never caught a green sunfish, I wouldn’t mind trying a yellow perch tank. Idk how they’d behave, I’ve always wonder if they’d be like clown loaches tho lolPumpkinseed x Green sunfish. I’ve always wanted to keep either that hybrid or bluegill x green sunfish as a wetpet.
Trust me they are anything but clown loaches lol. Perch are extremely aggressive and hunt in packs that actually use a combination of team work and strategies to take down large schools of prey. 3 or more in a tank will basically live/act like a pack of wolves. Greatly entertaining fish to live feed tho, love watching em put a plan into action and pull it off successfully.I’ve never caught a green sunfish, I wouldn’t mind trying a yellow perch tank. Lol honestly they should pop some eggs out once to twice a month, once they get comfy that is. I would keep a very close eye on the pleco when they do have eggs tho, pleco's are known to clean up eggs real quick if unchecked. That n they can be stubborn enough to eat em while being attacked.View attachment 1492029Just got them into their new 125g tank. They are VERY stressed out, almost pinkish… but doing okay.
hopefully they will get to making babies come summer!

Honestly tho ya couldn't ask for a better pair imo, they almost look like twins besides the shear size difference.

Generally unless they are atleast 3.5-4in long and absolute stunners, your looking at about $5-20 a pop depending on the size. As for them producing babies they should stop laying eggs with each spawn, they only do the every other week thing when it's just it laying eggs to lay eggs. Females can't re-absorb their eggs so they must lay em every so often, they just eat em afterwards. Most of the time it happens late at night / early morning or when your at work.Lol I don’t need them spawning twice per month, I wouldn’t be able to give them away! Maybe lol
My intent was for them to be happy together, not breeding, which they are. I’ve never seen two fish play the way they do.
what do y’all think would be a fair price to sell their babies at?
I suppose we’d have to see the babies first.

Honestly tho, since you don't plan on breeding anyways, I would either sell the babies dirt cheap or give em away if ya don't feel like getting your own hands dirty with some culling. Also I would do it asap once they are about .5-1in, so that they don't start to eat each other and start being hunted by the parents.
