I've had tetras with rams, angels, parrot, severums, and rainbow cichlids. None of them ever bothered my tetras. Actully the biggest bully in that tank was a zebra danio.

Leave the tetras for your wife. She obviously likes them to have picked them out for you. Grab some more of them and add some dwarf cichlids, Rams, Apistogramas, Kribensis or somethign to that extent.

Well How large its your aquarium? I got 10 tetras with 4 scalars. You have to know that if you gonna put tetras your aquarium should be well planted thats wy i sugest scalar cuase another ciclids bye bye your planta

you can put any kind of fish in there.... and just let the cichlids/piranahs eat them... survival of the fittest!
