You could probaby catch some bluegill or other sunfish in a couple parks. 'tis how I got my LMB fingerlings. Ain't really legel though lol.
Then there's Jonah's Aquarium. Some good stuff there!
Other than that I cruise the ghost shimp feeder tanks for stowaway specimens. :grinyes:

In the past:

European Perch
Roach
Rudd
Tench (Green & Golden)
3 & 9 Spinned Stickleback
Common Carp
Mirror Carp
Sterlet

Dont know how native these originally are, but they are all here now!

Is there anyway to find out what fish we have in our area? We have a bunch of what we call "forrest preserves" here in Chicago and the surrounding burbs and there are a bunch of small as well as big lakes close to me. I know people fish these lakes but i was just wondering if their was anyway to find out what fish are local to the area. I was planning on hitting a few of the lakes around here when it warms up.

Yup, I have caught a couple of bluegill at a lake by my parent's house when I was in highschool. They were cool, but I looking for stuff that I can't find locally.
