just got some african brown knifefish today, guy at petsmart suggests frozen bloodworms. however, after i let them thaw, my tetras had a second feeding frenzy while one of my knifefish got a little piece of it. should i just toss in a chunk of it still frozen so it sinks to the bottom or what?

I said it before and I'll stand by it, tubifex cubes by omega one!!!

They are awsome for knives. Put one in his hide box, also try your Fbloodworms in his hide.

Pics man, PICS!!!

oh question. do you have to thaw them out as the directions say? or can you just drop it in so it sinks? cuz those bloodworms made everything else in the tank real happy.

I just throw them in frozen, but they float. Your best bet is to feed them at night and turn off the lights. But eventually, they will learn when feeding time is. Mine gets food without a problem after a week.

ok. yeah i suppose ill just toss it in frozen, which would be simpler, i bet they unthaw quicky as well. after i turned off the lamp they started to come out, so ill look to see when they are all out and then feed them. they are the coolest.

an associate at petsmart recommended freeze dried tubifex worm cubes, that can sink if i squeeze water into them, they also had them in frozen blocks, but im gonna try to bloodworms for a few more days and if they continue to not eat them ill go get some tubifex worms.

FD Tubifex worms will eventually sink. You can just push it against the glass and it'll stick.

ok. well ive been turning off my lamps early so they will start to come out in the open, and then ill try to feed them frozen tonight and tomorrow. if it doesnt work i should prolly get some freeze dried stuff so they can eat again. one hides in the corner all day while the others hide in a log. i can break off a little and stick it to the glass near him, and then let the rest sink down by them, provided my tetras dont go nuts over it.
