what to feed knifefish

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
the other two are getting along fine. however i watched the bigger one eat a bloodworm then spit it out. idk what to do anymore. im not giving up on them but i think once i remove the tetras things will be calm. maybe there is something going on with having more than one in the tank that they arent interested in the food. i really dont know. but ive seen tetras of all sizes in my tank go after my knifefish, and i cant have that happening. im too attached. but i got some small feeder blocks to tide things over with them, making it so they have something in their system to live on until i find a clear answer after my tetras are out. besides i wanted more angelfish anyways. but the one i have now is really docile, like he minds he own very well. i still dont understand why they wont eat, even when they know that the food is there, hoping that removing the fin nippers will solve problem.

that knife is dead, and i replaced all my tetras with angelfish and a few swordtails.

well my tetras were being fin nippers and it made me mad. actually if you check back with my other thread that you commented on its got the whole story on it.

i wanted an oscar but a bunch of people said that my tank wasnt the right size for one. its 56g, but its show tank size, not close to the 55g standard.

Oscars are really fun to have. you can Max out a oscar to 12 inches in a yearspan easy. They have serouis personalitys. I had this one guy for 6 years or so and he used to attack this one side of my tank all the time. After a while i realized it was the mirror on the door he disliked i found a small 7 inch round mirror and would mount to his tank on the ouside so he could see his own reflection oh hed go apeshiit, chargeing and biting at it lol

im getting oscars when i get a bigger tank. im gonna keep some in a tank with a BGK and some bichir. you really cant overstock oscars since they are messy.
