Had to change up the 300 gallon a little. The female sev decided she would try and mate with the male she did not like. She was getting so aggressive defending her little spot that I fear for the safety of the smaller clown loaches. When she was in the 90g and decided she was going to mate, I needed up with a few dead hoplo cats which I believe was due to cichlid mating aggression. So for now the female sit in a 40B until I figure if I want to try her with the dominat male sev in the 90g or rehome her.
With the female sev. out of the 300, I feel a sense of calmness to the tank. The only issue Im seeing is at time the remaining male sev tends to "shadow" the gourami. It will just swim with it in a way that you almost think they are schooling. There is no aggressive behavior at all about this but the gourami doesnt like it. He almost acts like he is being chased. This is very mild in the grand scheme of things and I think these two should work out well together unless the gourami decides to turn and become a monster.
The 3 remaining roselines to go into the 300 (for a school of 9) are still in quarantine but its approaching two weeks and Im feeling comfortable enough to move them in soon at this point. Then the stocking will be complete.
