What was the wackiest thing you have ever caught?

LOL yeah, regrettably. Imagine scarping that off the bottom of your shoes

Actually, as morbid and serial killer0ish as it sounds, even though I don't kill fish, I love looking inside of the large Bunker sold in bait store coolers. I chunk and fillet them for chum, and I always look in the stomach for partially digested food. At a camp at the CI Aquarium we disected Blueback Herring, and I found several Sand Shrimp in its stomach :)

I caught halve a tree once

I'm with you on this one, I thought I caught a monster cat and I pulled the line in and it was a freaking tree, needless to say I **** bricks lol

using those fishballs with 6 hooks on them.. i caught 5 baby catfish bullheads.. thought it was a turtle. lol

Weirdist I've caught are: red ear slider turtle, a 30# softshell turtle at the Colorado River, a 'slime eel'-(hagfish), a sea slug, a common pleco at Lake Balboa, snagged a gopher snake once and a giant bullfrog on a white spinnerbait who thought it was a big moth!

I've have caught a crab, purple seastar, and shovel nose ray off pier fishing from various of beaches along socal.

I release them back in the water
