What was your first fish?

two little koi kept in a ten gallon one died :( the other one i still have today he is about 8 to 10 inches
 
see my photo on the left they were my 1st fish then i sold them instead of geting a bigger tank

oh how how how stupid i was they were the best fish ive ever kept

Great story....How do moms get sooooo smart?
 
I started out with a betta. I remember saving up my money to buy a spongebob aquarium. I think it was a 2.5gal or something like that.I waited 5 weeks for it to be delivered, finding out that it had fallen behind a seat.(wonderful shipping service...) Anyway, I threw a toy in I had got from the dentist and it caused the betta to swell up and mutate into a disgusting blob looking fish. Poor thing couldnt swim downward, it had to float around the top. It still ate food though. It died shortly after and i biried it outside.
 
First for me was my CT betta, then I bought 3 females, and Corys and put them all in a 20 gallon
 
6 neon tetras, black ghost knife, 2 rope fish, elephant nose, 3 blue gouramis, columbian cat shark and a red claw crab, all crammed in a 10gl, my step dad was friends with the guy who owned our lfs, and he gave me most of them for free, my eyes were bigger than my tank
 
my first fish was a betta my father got for my brother and I, we were 7 and 5 at the time, we lost him when my brother decided to clean his bowl with liquid handsoap, without removing him.

He was replaced with 3 guppies whose offspring still infest a 10G in my mothers house
