I think I had some neon tetras when I was about 5 or 6. My first fish with my own tank is my Jack Dempsey and he is a beast.

I caught some fish out of a hot spring in Nevada when I was 7.Took then home and found a old 10gl in my dad garage.Well months later they breed for me and I have been hooked every since.I have never went without a tank since.That was 37yrs ago.I wish I could remember what they looked like.

Wow! Seriously you fought your fish? Hopefully I'm just misunderstanding you, but if I'm not than you shouldn't be allowed to keep fish.

Oscar, pacu, kissing gourami, Tiger barb in a 55 gallon. I think i got it whn I was 6 or 7 and i kept it until I was 12 or 13 and surprisingly there was never any trouble with fighting. We gave them away to some of my moms friends and to my knowledge there still alive.
