WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST FISH?

i had an incredibly over stocked ten gallon with a like 6 goldfish that were 5 inches long
 
first with was Bluesky the betta age 6. first tank fish was a 10 with some bream and a catfish i caught.
 
Very first fish was a black-nose dace (Rhinichthys atratulus) my grandfather and I caught when we were netting for bait minnows. Kept it all summer in a gallo wine bottle with anacharis plants. Fed it ant eggs and small flies/gnats. Put it back into the pond when we left the summer house.

I like that story. I hope when I'm a grandfather that I'll impact my grandchildrens life so much.:)

It was 42 years ago and I remember everything about it like it happened yesterday.
 
I got 6 goldfish to cycle a 10 gallon tank... no light, filter, or substrate...:ROFL:
the first real setup I had was with 1 common pleco, a bunch of tetras, a snail and some other misc community fish in a 20 gallon tank.
