What was your first fish?

My first fish was a goldfish in a candy dish. My nana did the water change every day, I got to feed it.

I was around 3 or 4. I've always had fish one way or another, it's been an ever growing part of my life, and will continue to be my passion until I'm old n' grey.

my mom let me have a "tropical fish" aquarium when i was a kid.. i think about 10? we had neons, and head and tail lights, and algae eaters..

when those fish died off after a few years.. i think the last one died when i was about 16 i never got another fish till i met my hubby. He had a big piranha that liked me because i gave him good food, not nasty cichlid sticks.. lol.

After Jaws died we decided to do something with the big new tank we bought for him but he never got to live in.. and i met my first peacock bass..

Mine was a pair of angels and 2 bala sharks. They're still living and growing. This was about a year ago. I didnt know squat, they went into a 35G. Angels being 2.5" and balas being 2". They're still in there. I know balas shouldnt be but they were stunted at the lfs so didnt grow much at all.

Its amazing how far I've come in 12 months.

I had a bowl with a goldfish since i was four. The goldfish needed to be replaced once in a while.

My first troicals where 5 cardinals, 5 rasbora heteromorpha, 1 oto and a peppered cory in a 1 gallon, ten years a go. two weaks later i bought a 20 gallon and i was adicted. The cory lived for 5 years.
