What was your first fish?

My first fish were some guppies. I started with a few fish in one of those 2 gallon tanks. Boy that didn't last long at all. The largest I had the in was the 75 gallon. Then I gave some away so I could put them in the 29 gallon tank, I have had them, well their relatives since 1997!
My first fish were 8 goldfish in a 10 gallon aquarium that all grew to 6 inches. After all but 2 died, (Keep in mind that this was when I was 10, or close to that anyway) I released them into a pond. My first tropical fish were 2 guppies, 2 cory catfish, 2 neon tetras, and one invasive snail that is all over petstores' windows; these were all in a 1 gallon. I kept wondering why the fish were dying every 2-3 weeks so I bought more every time. This was also when I was very little, and my parents thought I was old enough to take care of an aquarium MYSELF!
zebra danios the lady i got them from said they were like 20years old i dont know if that was the truth but i had them for a good little while until i put some ac's in the tank with them and the outcome wasnt pretty i didnt know better
