My first herp was a tiger salamander that was given to my mom by a guy who bought it as an axolotl...I was 3 and claimed the salamander (Quetz, short for Quetzocoatle the axolotl) as my own, although my mom took care of him.

My first snakes were little Eastern worm snakes that I used to catch under rocks near our apartment. I was around 6. We actually ended up with some eggs that hatched.

My first reptile that I actually took care of was my corn snake, which I got as a sub-adult when I was 13. Today, he's a monster. Almost six feet long I believe...eeeesh.

The families first reptile was a burmese python when i was about 8/9 but mine was a corn snake when i was about 12.
