What Were the Most Aggressive Cichlids You've Kept Together...

So far my fish are healthy and swimming well. It is so tight when some of their colors come out. I must say that these Cichlids are not very colorful.

they show their best colors when they're in optimal conditions with no stress. if they were in a large enough tank that each was able to establish a territory (possibly even with a mate) then you would see outstanding colors from all of them. however, when a CA/SA cichlids colors become very pale or nonexistent, that means they're stressed.

as for the umbee, dovii and jag at adult size in a 125 I'd really like to see those pics. I wouldn't consider umbee or dovii to be "adult size" unless they are 18" or bigger and a jag would have to be at least 12" imo to be considered "adult size". if you have those three at those sizes in a 125 then congrats.

in my 5 f00ter, ive got a pair of non breeding salvinis, full grown, and i added a mayan female cichlid at 8 inches and they get on fine, the male salvini and she were lip locking but she saw him off, and has now moved all the gravel to the front of the tank and evicted my blue loach from his bog wood lol

i currently have in a 55 gallon tank which contain 2 dovii, 2 jags, 2 red devils, 2 green texas, and 1 red jewel. they are all about 1.5" and very aggressive towards one another. i also had 2 buttikoferis in there, but they died. the red jewel is the least aggressive in my readings, but it does not stand down to any of the fish. the others actually fear the red jewel. i dont know how the buttikoferis died, but they were not attacked like the others because their fins and tails were still in tact when i found them. currently my both green texas barely have tails, but are still very healthy. any ideas of how the buttikoferis died??
