THat is one day i will remember for the rest of my life... I was working on a swing stage on the outside of one of the tallest buildings in seattle when i got a call from my boss and he told me to get the EF off the building because planes were flying into buildings.

The twin towers was sentimental to me... my husband and i celebrated our first anniversary there by having dinner in the "The windows on the World" which was on the top floor of the twin tower.. i remenber the long elevator ride up...i was in "awe"... you could not see much from the window view at our table since it was a foggy windy night...but i could feel the gentle sway of the building that was made to give to the wind currents with out actually making much difference... the day of 9/11 i was watching the news ... and the horror unfolded ... almost like it was not really real...I remenbered all those faces i met that night. many years before... not in clear focus but just faint in memory.. and i hoped that they were not there that day... the nice bartender.. the waitress and the cook... so many innocent people like you and me.. just making a living... or celebrating something special... not fair.... :(

I was a junior in High School (11th grade). I was in my first class of the day, "American Government" and I was trying to get the tv working since the cable was fuzzy, the teacher mentioned that he heard on the radio that an airplane had accidentally hit one of the twin towers, but I heard from the fuzzy tv that two planes had hit. I said "no two planes have hit the twin towers" he replied "that's not possible". Then we got the tv working and the whole class watched everything that went on from there. At one point I walked down the hallway, and every classroom that had a tv was focussed on what was happening, those classes that didn't have one were crowded into rooms that did. It was so eerie, some people were crying. I'll never forget it.

Well, I was only in the 1st grade, but I specifically remember that day. The one interesting thing that I didn't know until today was that apparently flight 93 flew directly over our school, which scared the heck out of a bunch of people.
