I found it an amazing place to check out, learn, and help. It overshadows, sadly, other forums and that is a loss to the hobby.
what were your first thoughts when you discovered MFK?

saw the cichlid/piranha section and decided to stay; plus, there isn't as much drama as some other forums
Ive looked in here before and thought that site is a bit big for me to look around I've just been used to the basic sites like an open forum mainly UK members but its the same old thing day in day out so i joined last-night and had a good look around and i think its great to have all walks of life in here and members from all over the world.
Me and 2 mates run a UK forum but no where near as busy as this one i think the mods do a great job in here i know what its like keeping a forum up to scratch with all the spammers about i must ban about 10 spammers a day plus what the other 2 mods ban so i think with a forum this size the mods must have there work cut out. Keep it up lads good job....

i thought, "DAMN!!! My 150 is little! I thought i had a big tank and cool fish. MUST HAVE BIGGER TANK!" oh yea, and all the priceless information is good too!
Diverse, entertaining, informative, helpful, friendly, rude, whiny, petulant, arrogant, hypocritical, honest. Just like real life. And mainly, you're going to need a bigger tank.
