what were your first thoughts when you discovered MFK?

We told you the 55 was to small for them anyways you could only keep one in there and grow the other other out in a 40 breeder atleast.

I found this site after the LFS screwed me by selling me enough cichlids to thouroughly stock a 500+ gallon tank with a huge sump into my 55. Once I started coming home to dead fish I realized the LFS was lieng to me and I had to some researchon my own then i found this site took care of my fish now i got a 240 in less then a year and want to go even bigger:naughty:
 
I thought this site was like a couple I was already a memeber of... then I saw an avatar (i think its neoprodigy's) of a cat with a pair of headphones on bobbing its head back and forth, and immediately spit pop all over my screen and keyboard... I joined as soon as I cleaned up.
 
"I'm gonna need a bigger tank" hehe

I'd seen a link to MFK someplace and figured I'd check it out. And here was a bunch of guys I could dig, cichlid freaks...bichir freaks...aro freaks. Then I checked out some pics (dieselmack's come to mind). Well I was hooked for sure.

But my tank seems so small now :(
 
I stumbled across the 50,000 gallon tank and said I need that...but my wife quickly put an end to that...so I got 2 125's instead
 
I saw the ad for it in TFH and just kept checking until it was up and running -Anne

LOL....Me too......that was actually my second thought though.

First was. "HOT DAMN other people keep LMB out there"....and I thought that keeping a large mouth was unique!!!! HA HA HA HA HA......

then after looking around I thought, "holy s**t these people have issues." its funny my wife just told me I have issues......HMMMM?
 
I didn't join because I read some posts and there was a LOT of flaming, bickering and arguing amongst the members at that time. It seemed like a very stressful environment. It took me a whole year before I even clicked back on this site and signed up soon after.
 
i saw that there were alot of posts in my area of expertese, and i deicided to join.
