Well, I'm in a little situation...

i bought a 1964 1/2 mustang awhile back, we fixed some things up and its an amazing car. But my parents just told me that they dont think its the best car for my first car ( i'll be 17 in march, and a teen drivin a classic, they think is a bad idea ). So there putting it up for sale ( 9,000$ or something ).

So right now I have no car.

I can either wait for my mustang to sell, and buy another ( safer, not classic ) car with the money, and have a little extra ( which may not happen for a good amount of time). Or I can wait till march and spend my money that i've been saving from my job on a car.

Dont know what to do..

and you guys know how it was to be a teen and not have a car... it sucks, cant go anywhere, have to get your parents to take you O.o

if i buy the car in march, that means I wont have any money for fish :(.

I know a few people who had a classic mustang as their first car. I'd try to convince your parents to keep it.

i've tried :(.. NO talking them into it.

its pearl white, with white and blue leather pony interrior.
its a beauty.

I pretty much got 2 choices... wait for my car to hopefully sell, and buy a new one with the money. or wait till march and buy a car.

My buddy had an old 60's mustang with the inline 6. It was built like a freaking soda can. I hated that car. every bump shot through the entire thing, and when we jacked up one wheel the car flexed so bad the door wouldn't open. It had the handling the characteristics and ride of a log wagon with square wheels. It looked cool, but that was about it. I wouldn't want to get hit by a soccer mom in a expedition driving that thing.....no way.

his was in great condition, it's just a poorly built care IMO. A sports car shouldn't be smooth, but it should be solid.

thats true, but the older cars can run for ever.

I prefer the look of the older cars, but thats just me.

either way

should I wait for it to sell, or just buy a new car in march?

if you like it, just wait.

Buy a decent economical every day car, like a civic or something, and keep the 'stang as a weekend cruiser.

hmm, alright.

Hopefully know one will buy the car than O.o

Don't think a lot of people will be in the market for one unless it's special. With the price of gas not a lot of people want to get a "muscle car".
