Wow, that is sad...I would kill for a 64 1/2 mustang!!! The first ones to come out, just amazing!!! What I don't understand is, did you buy the car yourself, and if so and they are making you sell it for around 9000, why is it you are only going to have 2000 to buy another???

Do your parents not realize how much better cars were made back then?? As far as safety goes, I would way rather wreck in a "older" car then a new one, seems to me they are looking at it all wrong. Then again I am not your parent and can't say what they should or should not tell you what to do, but IMO I would much rather have my son in a "muscle" car then one made today.

Just get a freakin civic save on gas and save you from the heartache if a classic gets into a crash.

Very true, that car is not for everyday driving. Hold on to that treasure you lucky b@stard!

My V6 Mustang gets close to 32 mpg and my V8 gets about 27- don't think you have to pass on classic American muscle to save fuel cost - and both are faster than Ewurm :) . It just went to $3.05 + here today, so I know the problems poor milage causes.

Do a lot of reading. Get on some car forums and read the pros and cons of the car you are looking at.
