But, luckily for my husband.. I LOVE this hobby too.. so I would never ask him to give up tanks for a year.. and we plan on getting something in the 300 gallon + range as soon as we move...

On the other hand... there are lots of things I would like him to give up... lol

I vote no.Its not the kind of demand you make on a person you understand and care about.Wait a year?Absurd.If it was a compromise it would be trade in all the tanks for a 1000g.Sounds to me she wants the tanks gone without having to argue about it for a year.

I voted yes but it would depend on a lot of things:
1.Can you keep the fish with somebody else for a year
2.When the years over do you get all of your old tanks back or are you replacing all of your old tanks for the new 1,000 gallon
3.who's paying for the tank
4.would you be able to afford the tank after the year is over
