lol? You act like your some prize. Your bf must be one whipped sob. He has to prove to you lol! You prove to him that your worth a dam. Don't think I'm some scorned person. IV been with the same girl for 3 years. Were engaged and we live together and have been for 2 years. I don't believe in the proving thing to a women. Its a cry for attention.

You misunderstand. I absolutely agree with you that the proving goes both ways. I don't expect him to idolize me. But on the flip side of that, I don't want to be kept around as a means to an end. There has to be a balance there. I guess I did come off as 8!tchy there, didn't I? My apologies.

And, quite frankly, we should all treat ourselves as a prize to an extent. I don't believe I should compromise my core values and my expectations simply to find and keep a man. I believe that particular compromise is a big problem with both men and women today. The way I see it is that if he doesn't want to meet me at my place and I don't want to meet him at his, then we both need to move on. Right? But too many people out there say, "Oh well blah blah blah" and give too much. It boils down to that balance....No one should be a carpet for the sake of a relationship...

Back to OP. All you need to qualify for a mortgage is a good credit score, job and 20% down. We started small. We first bought a condo. Sold and had down payment for house we wanted.
